Spirituality and Religiousness

Spirituality And Religiousness

In terms of mathematical language

There are two sets one is spirituality and another is religiousness. Again religiousness is a quality.

Level 1 = non-spiritual and non-religious will be a part of the Universal set but not in either of the above two.

Level 2 = religious but non-spiritual will be a part of a set religiousness but not of spirituality

Level 3 = religious and spiritual will be in the intersection of the two sets

Level 5 = non-religious but spiritual will be only a part of the set spirituality but not of religiousness

Level 4 = The highest level = purely spiritual will not be in this universe because that person will be already merged in the supreme power that is Adwaita

What is your opinion regarding this?

Why do you attempt to distinguish that from the instinguishable. In Mathematical language, the universe consists of all sets. That which is part of the universe becomes the universe, because they are one. As simple set theory which has been traditionally used to explain philosophies like advaita all fall short of the infinitum. Look at the qualities of the number zero and the indeterminate infinity. The state of nothingness that you hint to be advaita, can also be percieved as the state of universe. Just replace the "supreme power" with the universe in your highest level and see for yourself, if we are saying the same thing!!!

Do u mean distingushing spirituality and religiousness? or Universe and the supreme power?

Yes, always the set theory is used to explain the complex things in simple forms but nobody claimed that it is the final one....not only regarding any philosophy but also for mathematics. It is just a support to help to climb the ladder of complexity.

Can you explain, how the state of nothingness can be a state of the Universe? (I am not talking about any set theory here)

I mean distinguishing in general. I can perhaps suggest that the supreme power and the universe is particularly relevant to what i mention to be indistinguishable.

zero and Infinity have the same property of being complete. When you add or subtract anything from them, you get the complete whole. The original remains unperturbed.

I am asking about the real life. Because the question is related to your last sentemce. and not the sentence about properties of zeroand infinity.

How the state of nothingness can also be perceived as the state of the universe? (Because in my post I am not talking about set theory but trying to explain meaning of certain categories with the help of set theory...

0=state of Nothingness
Infinity=supereme consciousness
in other words,
0=self
Infinity=Supreme Being
Advaita by its name tells that there is no second one. Hence they are the same.

This is not the right example though, Just imagine how a huge tree comes from a small seed. To indicate a good example: what existed before this whole universe began was Nothing. Then came the sound, then the OUM-kara. It means That Thou Art. Advaita asks us to seek the universe in the self.

There was Nothing before ... There is Universe Now ... There will be Nothing then ... The cycle repeats.

Different people perceived these facts differently. There is a Vishishta Advaita that says that the 0 grows to Infinity. But As long as Advaita is Concerned, 0 and Infinity are both the same thing.

Dear K,
there is a valid reason to distinguish in general. You might have got one examples in my recent post. Indeed! the universe and supreme power finally have same nature but......finally....and in between the difference is there...otherwise everybody would have felt this nothingness and would have started living according to that.
