Jenefer was walking silently on the grass of her house yard and merged in thoughts deeply. She couldn't forget the day when her friend Robert gave her a shock and continued. She easily went back to her past when she met him first time.......how they became friends......how they used to help eachother. Robert was working in a bakery but used to earn sufficient for himself. He was having a pleasing personality with a fresh smile. No wonder he was surrounded by many girls in the parties and many were waiting to have a friendship with him. He was having many girl friends. Jenefer was different. So Robert was having her as one of his friend. She was thinking Robert as a gental man. Sometimes she used to felt something strange in his natorious eyes but she tended to ignore it. She was having a great faith in him. She never thought him as a boy friend. She used to admire him for his grace and cheerfulness but just as a friend. She was not knowing what is kept in her dish in future.
For summer vecation she went to her aunt's place in other village. There she met John and fail in love with him and within a short duration they became so close that they decided to marry. Jenefer returned with a very happy face. She wanted to share this happy news with her best friend Robert. As soon as she met him, she couldn't wait and told him desparately about John. Robert's face was changed suddenly into an angry one. Jenefer was not expecting such kind of reaction from him. He immediately holded her arms and shouted at her, that she has fooled him and just taking advantage of him. Jenefer couldn't understand what was happening. She told him that she never thought about him as a boy friend but he was not ready to listen. That day he left her like that.
Jenefer was shocked and thought that he might understand after some days. One fine sunday morning when Jenefer was going to the chruch, Robert stopped her on the way. He was looking different and Jenefer couldn't recognize him. He asked her in the same angry mood that whether she is ready to marry him or not. Jenefer replied negatively and continued walking. Suddenly she felt that something had fallen on her shoulder and then she fail down. When she opened her eyes she was laying on a bed in the hospital. She tried to get up but couldn't as she felt some strange lightness in her arm. Jenefer noticed that she had lost her one arm. Her parents told her, that how she was found and brought in the hospital.
Tears were rolling down her cheeks. She realised what would have happened. After some days when she was discharged John came to see her. He gave her a news that he is marrying Mery the coming Sunday. After John left, Jenefer came out in the yard. She lost her faith in men and now she always asks why she had put faith in Robert and John? No wonder all the mistakes are realised after certain time. This is the universal truth.
