The Consciousness (1)
The Consciousness (1) (Practical example in the year 2005)
Since the consciousness is at the center of spirituality, it is discussed again and again in this blog.
A few weeks before I read a news in an online news paper. it was written by an Indian Hindu (I am using particularly the words) who is residing in a Muslim country for a job. One fine morning he found the glasses of his car broken and a note was pasted on it. Initially he was furious as it was a muslim country. Just opposite to his house there was a mosque where (he used to think) many fenetic muslims come. So he thought that it might be a part of the act of terrorising him being an Indian Hindu. A contact number was written in the note with the words " contact as soon as possible". By reading the note he confirmed the doubt but contacted out of curiosity and was thinking to inform police. The person from other side of the phone initially apologised and said," Today morning I came to the mosque for my regular prayers. While returning due to some problem with back gear my car hitted your car and the glasses were broken. It was early in the morning so I didn't want to disturb you. To pay you for the damage, I pasted a note and went away." This Indian Hindu asked him that why he did so because nobody has seen him while hitting. The person replied," How come nobody was seeing.
Allah watches everything and if I will not be aware of
Allah then what is the use of coming every early morning in the mosque for the prayer. How I will be able to pray Allah?" The Indian Hindu was impressed and wrote this incidence in the newspaper.
The
consciousness of one's own deeds is the real one. This might be a "smaran" as well according to Kabir.
A Great Love.........

A Great Love........
Saint Meerabai has set a great example of madhura bhakti. When she was totally merged in the worship or love of Lord Krishna, many times the King of Chittore (her brother-in-law) tried to kill her through different ways but she was saved by Lord Krishna....her eternal husband for whom she refused to be sati after the death of her husband. At last, the King of Chittore aksed her to commit sucide and when she was about to jump in the river she heard a message from Lord Krishna to go to Brindavan. So leaving aside the idea of sucide she undertook a pilgrimage towards Brindavan, the seread sport field of Lord Krishna, which was a home for several holy men. The disciples of Jeeva Goswami, one of the holy men who has taken a vow never to see a woman or even her shadow, prevented her and told about Goswamiji's vow. She laughed and said, " I know that there is only one Man in Brindavan that is Lord Krishna, now I see, there is a rival to him." Jeeva Goswami understood the hidden meaning and the greatness of the devotion of Meerabai He bowed down and escorted her to hermitage.
Among the devotees of Madhura Bhakti there is no gender difference, all are gopis as Lord Krishna is the only Man to whom all the devotees love.

Story listeners have to be wonderful in which sense? In fact I am just a story-teller who is telling wonderful stories. Now it is up to listeners in what sense they have to be wonderful!!
The Suffering..... Existence of God
The Suffering...... Existence of GodWhenever I think about suffering, I remember a story from
Mahabharata about
Kunti (Mother of Pandavas; a character from Mahabharata) and Lord Krishna. At last when
Lord Krishna asks his
Aunt Kunti to ask a boon and she asks to give sufferings in her remaining life. Krishna asks the reson behind such a strange wish. The answer from Kunti is really spiritual. She replies that it is because of the sufferings I always remember you, I always felt the existence of you with me.
I think there is a strong connection between the suffering and realising or tending towards the path of realisation of existence of God with or within us. We can see this common element in most of the Saint's lives irrespective of religion such as Saint Dyaneshwar, Swami Vivekananda, Jesus Christ and many more.
What do you think?
MadhurashhTakam

MadhurashhTakam
I came across the madhurashhTakam when I was working in one of the remote but most beautiful part of India. I feel that I would not have understood the proper meaning which I have to take out of it if I would have read it before.
It is composed by Vallabhacharya a sage and philosopher in south India who founded the Vaishnavate sect in Central and southern part of India. It is related to Madhura Bhakti .
Madhura Bhakti is a worship with Radha-Krishna feeling. Radha-Krishna feeling is nothing but a concept of worshiping The supreme where a devotee worships or loves the supreme as if s/he is loving her/his lover.
It is written to praise Lord Krishna, through the projection of His qualities of. Due to all these qualities Lord Krishna is used to call purna purushha, the Complete Man.
In other way, we can take it as a guide line to reform ourselves, our behaviour. We may or may not believe in the existence of Lord Krishna but the qualities exists. We may say that these are the qualities of a spiritual person. How each and every act of a spiritual person becomes Madhur. Here are some of the verses: (Here the meaning of sweeter as taken by me is the pleasing, which is not only physical beauty but also related to beauty of heart which reflects the face and all the acts)
Adharam Madhuram Vadanam Madhuram
Your Lips are Sweet, Your Face is Sweet
Nayanam Madhuram Hasitam Madhuram
Your Eyes are Sweet, Your Smile is Sweet
Hridayam Madhuram Gamanam Madhuram
Your Heart is Sweet, Your Going is Sweet
Madhuradhipate Akhilam Madhuram
Oh! The Lord of Beauty, Your Everything is Sweet
Vachanam Madhuram Charitam Madhuram
Your Words are Sweet, Your Character is Sweet
Vasanam Madhuram Valitam Madhuram
Your Garments are Sweet, Your Presence is Sweet
Chalitam Madhuram Bhramitam Madhuram
Your Movements are Sweet, Your Roaming is Sweet
Madhuradhipate Akhilam Madhuram
Oh! The Lord of Beauty, Your Everything is Sweet
